A booking will be confirmed only on acceptance of all the rules and the contents of this disclaimer by the purchaser.

Payment terms for 1 day trips

Payment
Standard bookings (1-9 people): Payment is made at our premises, via card or cash, on the day of the trip and no pre-payment or deposit is required to secure the booking.
Payment will be taken from the card if the client cancels the booking within the time frame specified in the cancellation policy.

Pre-payment is required to secure Charter trips and group bookings of 10 or more people. The full fee will be retained if the client cancels the booking within the time frame specified in the cancellation policy.

In the event that the operator cancels the trip due to unfavorable weather conditions or unforeseen complications prohibiting the vessel from going to sea, clients will be given the opportunity to reschedule their bookings to an alternative date. Should clients not have an alternative date available, standard bookings will be cancelled at no charge and a full refund will be given for group bookings (10+ people) and charter trips.

All credit card charges are made and cash payments accepted in South African Rand.

Cancellation policy – standard trips (1 – 9 people)
The following fees are applicable for cancellations made within:

  • 72-48 hours before the trip date – 25% of the fee
  • 48-24 hours before the trip date – 50% of the fee
  • Less than 24 hours before the trip date or “no show” – 100% of the fee.

Cancellation policy – Charter trips and group bookings (10+ pax)
The following fees are applicable for cancellations made within:

  • 1 week before the trip date – 100% of the fee

Should you wish to reschedule a trip, please do so before 12:00pm (noon) on the day prior to your dive. Requests received later than 12:00pm will be treated as a late cancellation and the cancelation policy will apply before a new booking can be made for a future dive date.

COVID-19: CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation fees will be wavered should there be a travel ban in place from your country of origin or should you need to cancel due to medically confirmed diagnoses of, or health authority confirmation of direct exposure to the Covid-19 virus. Further to these exceptions, standard cancellation policies will apply.

Payment terms for adventure & package tours

A 50% deposit will be debited from your credit card once the quotation and itinerary has been finalised and approved via e-mail. The balance will be payable/charged four weeks prior to your tour start date.

All credit card charges are made and cash payments accepted in South African Rand.

Cancellation Policy:
The following fees are applicable for cancellations made within:

  • 2 to 4 weeks prior to the tour start date: 50% of the total
  • 1 to 2 weeks prior to the tour start date: 100% of the total

I accept the above cancellation and rescheduling policy and agree to my credit card being debited accordingly, provided that my credit card will not be debited before cancellation or “no show”, whichever is applicable.

Payment terms for the Shark and Marine Research Institute Programme:

COVID-19: CANCELLATION POLICY
All bookings made and funds received, prior to the South-African Government announcement made on the 15th March 2020 for implementation of measures related to the Coronavirus outbreak, will be retained.

All participants booked for 2020 will be allowed to reschedule their programme to dates prior to Dec 2021 without penalty – at the quoted rate.

Cancellations made within 30 days or less than 30 days of the programme start date, will be temporarily postponed and will not qualify for full or partial refund until such time that bookings/cancellations/rescheduled dates can be revised when global travel and health restrictions related to Covid-19 has reached its prior state of equilibrium.

General Payment, Cancellation, Refund & Rescheduling Policy – Prior & post Covid-19 outbreak

  • 50% Deposit is required to secure your space to join the programme.
  • The balance must be paid at least 30 days (4 weeks) prior to your arrival date/ programme start date.
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of the programme start date, are entitled to a full refund.
  • Cancellations made less than 30 days before the programme start date, the deposit will be non-refundable
  • Cancellations made less than 14 days before the programme starting date, will be liable for the full programme fees

Due to the high demand for spaces over June, July & August, any cancellations made less than 30 days before the programme starting date will be liable for the full programme fees.

Programme start dates can be rescheduled without charge when the date-change request is made more than 14 days (2 weeks) prior to the confirmed start date.

The following fees are applicable for bookings rescheduled within:

  • 14 days (2 weeks) prior to the specific programme start date – 100% of the full programme fee

Promotions & Special offers

All standard payment terms and conditions apply to bookings made for specials.

Promotional discounts or special offers are only valid for bookings made to attend excursions/for trips during the stipulated date period allocated to that specific promotion and discount/offer only granted for bookings made while the promotion is actively advertised/live on the website, or social media.

Bookings which are rescheduled to alternative dates outside of the promotional period will be charged at full price/will not qualify for special offers.

The promotional code must be provided in the requirements and comments section of the online booking form when making your booking to qualify for the special offer.

Standard Voucher purchase T’s & C’s

Vouchers payments are processed via the secure PayFast system. Once payment is successful you will receive your unique voucher by email.

Vouchers are valid for 3 years from the date of purchase.

Voucher purchases are non-refundable.

Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or re-sold to a 3rd party.

The Company is operating at 50-70% capacity, in line with social distancing protocols and may refuse attendance in accordance with Covid-19 compliant health regulations.

Age policy: no person under 12 years old can enter the dive cage. Children between the ages of 5 and 12 years may participate for on-board shark viewing only. Persons between the ages of 12 and 18 years, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Black Friday Voucher Deal T’s & C’s

Vouchers payments are processed via the secure PayFast system. Once payment is successful you will receive your unique voucher by email.

Vouchers are valid for 9 months from date of purchase

Voucher purchases are non-refundable.

Cancellations must be made at least 72 hours prior to your booking or your voucher will be forfeited.

Should you not arrive for the activity the voucher will be forfeited.

Vouchers cannot be exchanged for cash or re-sold to a 3rd party.

The Company is operating at 50-70% capacity, in line with social distancing protocols and may refuse attendance in accordance with Covid-19 compliant health regulations.

In the event of no shark sightings during the trip, the voucher will not be refunded.

In the event that no sharks were sighted during your trip, a second voucher will not be issued to allow you to re-join free of charge.

Legal implications

I understand and accept that Sharkcagediving.co.za acts herein merely as a facilitator and that it accepts no responsibility and incurs no liability whatsoever for the activities, actions or omissions of the operator of the events booked for through this website. I agree that I shall have no claim of any nature whatsoever against Sharkcagediving.co.za for any loss, inconvenience, damage, injury or the like suffered as a result of this booking or the event booked for.

White Shark Diving Company reserves the right to deny any passenger onboard the vessel at our own discretion for any reason. Should the health or wellness of a passenger put him/herself or any other passengers at risk, employees of White Shark Diving company are authorised to cancel these bookings.

Participation of minors

Participation by the under-18 age group can be done only under the authority of a legal guardian. Sharkcagediving.co.za has the right to refuse participation and/or cancel any ticket should this not be complied with.

Shark sightings

Sightings of wild animals can never be guaranteed and in the unfortunate event that no sharks were sighted during your trip, we do not offer refunds but we will provide you with a non-transferable voucher (valid for two years) allowing you to join us for another trip free of charge on a date of your choice (dependent on availability).

Shark sightings & Vouchers

Vouchers held for no-shark sightings, complementary excursions, donations or prizes cannot be utilised for bookings made during the peak festive season, 10th December to 10th January or over the Easter holidays.

Declaration by purchaser

I, the client booking the trip hereby declare that I have read and accept unconditionally the rules and contents of this disclaimer and are aware that participation is at my/our own risk.
